    The Wakefield Warriors Varsity Baseball Team will play at Lake Braddock High School at 7:00 pm on Friday, May 25.  This is the first round of the Northern Region Tournament.  The second round of baseball (for teams winning on Friday night) will be held on Monday, May 28 at 1:00 pm at Lake Braddock High School.  Ticket prices are $7.00.   Let’s wish the Warriors Baseball Team good-luck!   GO WARRIORS!  Beat Braddock on Friday!

  • Congratulations...

    Students from across Northern Virginia were awarded plaques and scholarships recently in recognition of their academic achievements at the 23rd Annual Black Scholars Awards Ceremony sponsored by the National Pan-Hellenic Council, Inc. of Northern Virginia.  The following Wakefield students were recognized: Yasmin Ibrahim, Welela Tarekegne, Walid Omer, Quashay Benton, Sloane Mebane, Keirra Duckett, Marcus Tucker, Meheret Endale, Melay Gebregziabher, Morgan Phelps, Muktaru Jalloh, Ibtsam Abdoush, Isryel Cruz, Javay Engelking-Scott, Jonathan Coons, Khadidjath Diawara, Dawite Ewnetu, David Bass, and Dagmawi Fasil.

  • Helping Veterans

    Wakefield's Brogan Felga is volunteering to assist with the Paralyzed Veterans of America National Wheel Chairs Games.  This year it is being held in Richmond June 25-July 1.  Brogan will assist the athletes competing in the games with meal service ( they cannot carry their trays to the tables to eat).  She will be assisting Quad Rugby and Basketball.

  • Singing Competition

    The Arlington Adult Education Program is calling all high school students to be a Judge at our 2012 Adult Singing Competition.  Bring your cell phone and text message your vote for your favorite singer.

    • Time: 7pm

    Invite your friends to come too... we need your help to choose who takes the 1st place prize.

  • Late Bus Passes - Beginning Tuesday, January 24th, LATE BUS PASSES will be required for any student riding the late bus.  You must be participating in a supervised school activity after school in order to receive a pass to ride the late bus.  Club sponsors, librarians, or teachers who are working with students after school will supply you with a pass.  Security and bus drivers will collect your pass as you board the buses.
