Green Scene Highlights W-L's Spring Spruce Up

This week's episode of Green Scene visits Washington-Lee High School's "Spring Spruce Up." Led by Nancy Striniste, co-chair of the W-L grounds Committee, and facilitated by Jerry Schrepple, Arlington County Regional Master Naturalist, teams of students "adopted" various areas of the campus and worked on tasks like weeding, mulching, and removing invasive plant species. Students say the activity not only beautifies the school grounds but also gives them a sense of ownership and teamwork, and builds school spirit.
