My name is Leah Jaremenko, and I am the new adaptive physical education teacher. Previously, I taught adapted physical education in Stafford, Virginia for three years. Prior to teaching, I obtained a masters degree in adapted physical education from the University of Virginia and earned my adapted aquatics credential. Any questions you have for me, please do not hesitate to ask. I look forward to getting to know each family here at Stratford. This year, I will be encouraging your child to learn how to be physically active in ways that will assist their physical, social emotional and cognitive development and abilities. It is my goal to develop a desire for lifelong physical activity in each child. As in the past, we are very fortunate to have the opportunity to swim at the Washington Lee Aquatic Center on Thursdays. Here are some useful links that provide insight into the adapted physical education field and other services that may assist your children: Therapeutic Recreation (classes offered by Arlington County) I am looking forward to a fun, healthy year in physical education class. Please remember, I have an open-door policy and would love for you to stop in and visit our class. Thank you ahead of time for your help and support.
