Once the application form has been received:

·         You will be notified by e-mail or phone that your application has been received

·         Phone interview will be conducted

·         Your references will be contacted

·         Copies of your application will be sent to interested schools

·         You will be contacted for school/program assignment

When you report to the school:

·         SIGN IN – this is REQUIRED.  Please do not overlook this very important step.

- in case of an emergency, staff need to know who is in the building at all times.

- the number of hours that you volunteer is very important and published in annual reports.

·         Introduce yourself to the main office staff, in most cases, they will be your primary contact.

During your tenure as an APS Volunteer:

·         Do not hesitate to contact the Volunteer & Partnership Program office if you need assistance with anything regarding your school volunteer experience. 

Whether you’re a parent, a partner, or a community volunteer, we need your help in following the APS Volunteer Guidelines.  We appreciate your time and effort, but first and foremost is the safety and wellbeing of APS students.  With that in mind, we hope you will help us by complying with our procedures.
